ODY Economides
Technical Director & HEad Coach

Born in Baton Rouge, LA, and having lived in Cyprus and England, Ody has a rich international background. He played for Northampton Town FC's youth and reserve teams before becoming a student-athlete at Saint Leo University in Tampa, FL.

With 14 years of coaching experience across the USA, UK, and Europe, Ody has held various coaching and director roles at prestigious organizations, including New York Red Bulls, Watford FC, Tactalyse, and Olympiakos Nicosia FC. His credentials include a UEFA B License, an NSCAA Premier Diploma, and a Master's Diploma in Football Coaching and Sporting Direction from the Real Madrid Graduate School. He is set to complete his UEFA A License by the end of 2024.

SPENCER DURFEE
Assistant COACH & head of RECRUITMENT

• Spencer’s journey in the college game started at Waldorf in 2014 after transferring from Lamar Community College. Graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2016 with an emphasis on strength and conditioning. Formerly a graduate assistant for the men's soccer team at lowa Lakes. Worked with NAIA institution Waldorf University. Finished top 4 in 22-23 season 8-6-2 record with an 8 game unbeaten streak. Coached two all-conference selections Antonio Coutinho and Daniel Burko (now Syracuse University).
• Ranked #18 in 2017 with Lakes Community College.
• Spencer pursued coaching & education in England with UDA Soccer studying for a master's degree in exercise science and nutrition at University of Chester.
• Returned to Waldorf after spending time back stateside coaching for club Billings United.

JEFF THOMPSON, B.BA
​​UDA PROGRAM DIRECTOR

A long time resident of Las Cruces , Jeff will coordinate the integration and working relationship between UDA-US and NMSU.

Jeff has extensive experience as an NCAA Division One coach and will oversee the integration and functioning of the UDA academy at NMSU.

Jeff will oversee outreach to the local community and region for soccer development as well as ensuring a fully integrated experience for students in the UDA academy.

RESIDENCY AND VISITING COACH PROGRAM

Professional and Collegiate Coaches from the Uk and USA will conduct sessions throughout the year

UDA academy will, over the course of the year, offer  training opportunities with visiting coaches from  the UK and collegiate and professional coaches from the USA.

This opportunity will provide greater exposure and development for students to help them reach their optimal potential
